The mission of the Wanda Alston Foundation (WAF) is to eradicate homelessness and poverty for LGBTQ youth between the ages of 18 and 24. We are dedicated to ensuring that LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness have access to services that improve their overall quality of life. 

Our mission is achieved through our advocacy and programming. The Wanda Alston Foundation advocates for increased resources for youth while providing programs including housing, life skills training, case management services, linkages to medical care and mental health care and other social services, support in staying or returning to school, and employment support.
